On June 18, 2026, Tom Dukes and Dhillon Ramkhelawan obtained a directed verdict for a residential habilitation center for disabled adults after a four day wrongful death trial in Indian River County. Plaintiff alleged our client failed to properly supervise and appropriately perform CPR on one of the residents, resulting in his death. After Plaintiff rested their case to the jury, we argued they did not provide any evidence our client breached any standards of care or that any of their actions or inactions caused the resident’s death. The judge agreed with our arguments and dismissed Plaintiff’s case with prejudice before it got to the jury for deliberations.
