Biography
Tarig Elwasila is an Associate at McEwan, Martinez, Dukes, Hall & Vancol, where he brings courtroom experience to the firm’s litigation practice. Born in the United Arab Emirates and raised in Orlando, Tarig returned to Central Florida to practice law after earning his Bachelor’s of Science from the University of Central Florida and Juris Doctor from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law.
Tarig honed his litigation skills as an Assistant State Attorney for the Ninth Judicial Circuit, where he managed hundreds of cases and represented the State in several jury trials. This foundational experience in witness examination and oral advocacy allows him to navigate the complexities of the litigation process with confidence and precision. Prior to joining the firm, Tarig practiced family law, where he was known for his diligent advocacy in both simplified and high-conflict domestic matters.
While at Berkeley Law, Tarig served as a Senior Editor for the Berkeley Business Law Journal and gained valuable corporate and real estate experience through internships at X (formerly Twitter, Inc.) and a prominent California law firm. Outside of the office, he is a dedicated traveler and sports enthusiast who enjoys basketball, volleyball, and exploring Orlando’s evolving culinary scene.
