Thomas A. Suri
Thomas Suri’s legal career has been dedicated to defending the rights of the wrongly accused. Prior to joining McEwan, Martinez, Dukes & Hall, PA, Thomas served as Chief Assistant Public Defender for Fifth Judicial Circuit of Florida in Sumter County. During his time with the Public Defender’s Office, he acted as trial counsel in several felony and misdemeanor cases– ranging from first degree murder and armed burglary to DUI and domestic violence cases. Currently, his practice is focused on the defense of medical malpractice, automobile, and premises liability cases.
Thomas attended Florida International University where he graduated in 2010 Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in Political Science and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. Before completing his undergraduate studies, Thomas was a professional golfer. In 2014, he received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida Levin College Law with Honors. While in law school, he interned for the Honorable John O’Sullivan Magistrate Judge for United States District Court of the Southern District of Florida. He was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2014.
When not working, Thomas enjoys traveling, golf, cooking, and spending time with his wife, two young children and two dogs.
