Paul Nugent graduated from the University of Miami (B.A. 1984) and received his law degree from Nova University-Shepard Broad Law Center (J.D. 1987). He was a member of the Law Review and Moot Court Society. During the summer of 1987, he studied international legal issues overseas at the Universite’ d’aix Marsaille 111, Aix-en Provence, France with Supreme Court Justice Scalia as well as other renowned Law Professors.

Mr. Nugent was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1988. He is also a member of the Federal Bar for the Southern and Middle district of Florida. He is a member of the Defense Research Institute and the Florida Defense Lawyers’ Association. He has received an “AV” rating (top rating) by Martindale-Hubbell.

Mr. Nugent’s practice includes the defense of healthcare providers in professional malpractice cases, as well as the defense of healthcare providers in administrative actions. He has also represented numerous healthcare professionals before their respective licensing boards.
