John S. McEwan, II
John “Jack” McEwan concentrates his practice in the area of civil litigation.
A graduate of the Virginia Military Institute (B.A. 1964), Mr. McEwan received his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Florida College of Law (J.D. 1969).
Mr. McEwan has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1970 and was admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court in 1974.
In 1991, Mr. McEwan served as president of the Florida Defense Lawyers Association, and in 1995 he received the “Joseph P. Metzger Outstanding Achievement Award” from that organization. In 1995, he was named one of the 25 “most influential attorneys” in the Orlando legal community by the Orlando Business Journal.
Mr. McEwan is a member of the Defense Research Institute and served on the organization’s Board of Directors from 1996 to 1999. Mr. McEwan is a member of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, the International Association of Defense Counsel and the American Board of Trial Advocates.
