R. Samuel (Sam) Dunaway, III
R. Samuel (Sam) Dunaway, III has concentrated his entire legal career in the area of civil litigation. He is a graduate of Clemson University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2003. He received his Juris Doctorate degree in 2006 from Barry University School of Law. Sam was admitted to practice before the Florida Supreme Court in 2006, and was also admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida that same year. In 2008, Sam was admitted to practice law in the State of Georgia. He concentrates his practice in medical malpractice, transportation litigation, property insurance defense, premises liability, insurance defense, intellectual property and general business litigation. Sam has experience representing physicians, hospitals, ambulatory surgical centers, nurses and other health care providers across the state of Florida in matters involving professional liability, risk management, general liability and premise liability. He also defends all automobile and other vehicular liability cases, including those involving commercial conveyance and common carriers and represents insurance companies in first- and third-party claims and coverage disputes. Sam also has experience helping small business in the detailed and complex areas of intellectual property matters.
Sam is the proud husband to his wife, Jenna and their three children, Sam, Michael and Emily. His children are his proudest accomplishment. He is also the past president of Freedom Ride, Inc., an Orlando based 501(c)(3) not-for-profit therapeutic horseback riding program. While with Freedom Ride, Inc., Sam was instrumental in securing a lease extension for the Trotter’s Park location in the face of alternative governmental plans for property. Currently, Sam serves as a Founding Board Member and Vice President of Bible Study Media, Inc., which is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit Christian publishing company based in Lake Mary, Florida.
Sam became a Partner at the Firm in June, 2016.
