Dhillon Ramkhelawan

Mr. Ramkhelawan began his legal career as a criminal defense attorney and then as a civil litigation lawyer on the Plaintiff’s side, both in downtown Orlando. During this time, Mr. Ramkhelawan gained a vast amount of litigation experience both inside and outside of the courtroom as he zealously represented his clients to get the best results for them. This included advocating for his clients at various motion hearings and jury trials, to getting their cases sealed or expunged after they had been resolved. Before venturing into a career in the law, Mr. Ramkhelawan served as an analyst and consultant in both the technology and financial sectors.

Mr. Ramkhelawan received his Juris Doctorate Degree from Barry University School of Law. He was the recipient of the Dean’s Excellence Full-Tuition Scholarship and graduated cum laude in the top 10% of his class. While in law school, Mr. Ramkhelawan honed his litigation skills as a member of the Trial Team and by finishing in the top 16 of the annual 1L Moot Court competition. Additionally, Mr. Ramkhelawan served as Editor-in-Chief of the Child and Family Law Journal, where he was responsible for overseeing the publication of fourteen Law Review articles written by legal scholars and professionals on the topic of family law, and where he organized several pro bono events that helped give back to the Central Florida youth and elderly communities. As a law student, Mr. Ramkhelawan also authored two Law Review articles himself that were selected for publication and multiple blog posts, which led to him being inducted into the National Order of Scribes before his graduation.

Originally from Toronto, Mr. Ramkhelawan obtained his Master of Business Management Degree from the Schulich School of Business. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and Sociology from York University, where he graduated as a member of the Dean’s Honor Roll. When he is not working, Mr. Ramkhelawan loves playing sports, traveling and spending quality time with his family and friends.
